Little Island @ Pier 55

Consisting of 132 precast concrete “pots”, Little Island was inspired by a leaf floating on water and serves as an oasis in the midst of urban life at Manhattan’s Pier 55. Richter’s musical equipment, including Dance Chimes, invite visitors to create music together as they explore the park. Designed to be moved for yearlong programming, these interactive elements encourage a collaborative experience among the elevated pathways.
